That pepperoni eye is watching you, man.  It looks rather disgusting but it’s delicious.  It’s Pillsbury pizza crust topped with spiced up spaghetti sauce, mozzarella and provolone cheese, and pepperoni rolled into a saggy cylinder and baked a 475° for about 18 minutes.  It could probably be baked for a little less.  It definitely turned out more calzone-ish than bread-ish.

It’s incredibly useful for learning how to draw, especially if you don’t do well with regular classroom art lessons, art lessons are not available in your area, or the art lessons in your area are worthless.

It’s basically a little home tutor program that you can carry around with you.  It starts out at pathetic beginner, but it teaches a rather well-rounded course from the get-go with emphasis on light and shadow all the complicated stuff I ignored when teaching my self to draw.  Unfortunately, if you don’t need all that, you can’t skip the lessons.

Here’s the really cool part.  All the pictures you draw in this program can be saved to the album of your 3DS’s camera application.  From there, they can be copied to your 3DS’s SD card and transferred to your computer.

Even if you don’t want the lessons, it offers a Free Paint mode. In the free paint mode, you have access to all the drawing tools you’ve previously unlocked and you can still save your work to your album.

Basically this means that you have a little portable touch screen tablet that you can carry around with you at all times.  Which is awesome.

This is an experimental egg dish I made yesterday.  It involved nine eggs, a handful of mozzarella cheese and some torn up pepperoni fried in an extremely haphazard manner.  A cookie cutter was used to cut it into hearts.

First Analysis:  It’s edible.

Second thoughts: Actually, it’s pretty tasty.  I would probably use a little less salt next time, but damn, these are actually pretty good.  They’re cheap as hell too.  I got about five servings out of the batch and it cost approximately two dollars if that.  Oh, and I tried freezing them and it works wonderfully.  I microwaved them from frozen for two and a half to three minutes and they were great.

Additional ideas: Since they’re solidified and can be cut reasonably, they’d be a good substitute in a bento for tamagoyaki for people who don’t subscribe to the insane notion that eggs should have sugar in them.

Bottom line:  Holy shit, these are great!

So according to this logo, I’m setting out to defeat a dragon by making dolls.  How does this work?  Well for a start, the dragon in question is this one.  When I posted it before, I neglected to mention a few things about it, the first thing being its function.  It’s a stuffing bag.  Look at the picture again:

Look at its side.  The silver line you see is a zipper for access to the Poly-Fil inside of the beast.

The second thing I didn’t point out was the size of the thing.  The thing that it’s lying on top of is my bed.  My FULL bed.  The dragon doesn’t fit on top of it because it is 10 feet two inches long.  It’s is a big jobber, is what I’m saying.  It’s also kind of in the way right now, as I have no real place to put it.  Ideally, I’d like to fold it up and put it in my closet, but the sheer amount of stuffing inside prevents me from doing so.  That’s what this project is about.

Basically, I will be defeating the dragon by make an absolute shitload of smaller dolls.  I estimate that the smaller dolls will fit into three large trunks that I have lying about, but I’m not completely sure.  If not, it’s okay because besides getting the dragon down to a more foldable state of deflation, the second objective of this project is to strengthen my doll making skills.

I still feel like I haven’t accomplished anything at all.

Lately, my usual brand of inexpensive sketchbooks (Mead, by the way) has decided to jack up their prices, so I went to the Hobby Lobby a couple weeks ago and found this one.

Seriously, look at this thing:

That’s major hunk of sketchbook right there.  They aren’t lying by calling it Utility.  Ten dollars gets you 288 pages of 60#, medium tooth paper.  It’s a Pentalic brand book, which I’m actually quite partial to.  It’s also an absolute dream to draw in.

Unfortunately, getting the pictures out of it is a bit of a problem since it’s paperback instead of spiral bound.

It doesn’t want to play nice with my scanner, is what I’m saying.  No matter how I place on the glass, there’s a big shadowy area near the spine.  It’s actually more effective to take a photo of the page you need.

Arrgh, it’s so close to being perfect other than that.

I wonder how I figured that out.
