Christmas Cookies Part 1
There’s a dragon on my bed.
Down.
[/NaBloPoMo] plus other news.
So, hey. I made it all the way through November what with posting every day. I nearly doubled my post count which is sort of embarrassing. I did better than I thought I would, which is nice. And even though it’s over, I’m still going to try to post everyday. Tomorrow’s post is going to be extra special too, because…
It’s written on the internet so it must be true.

Mitsy and David
Er… these are two characters I made up for a story speech in high school. The one riding on the smiling thing is Mitsy, a girl who appears to everyone to be a little boy with clipped-on “pigtails” made out of paper streamers. She is also a space sheriff. The one being dragged along is David, an average college student at Buccaneer University and Mitsy’s deputy-by-force.
The rabbit doll thing is a space criminal that David was forced to help Mitsy capture in the story. It is brandishing some manner of hastily designed space rifle.
I had originally planned to write a series of episodic short stories about them. The basic plotline followed Mitsy demanding that David help her out in capturing some random new space criminal, even though David just wants to study and and play beer-pong with his friends. I eventually lost interest and forgot about it. I can’t even remember how the original story ended anymore. I do remember it involved rutabagas, though.
Another Stray Post
It’s Stray Little Devil this time!

Pam and Zuu get along well.
This completely in pencil because my chair was too comfortable.
I Just Finished Reading Stray Love Hearts
I wouldn’t really recommend the story too much. It’s a basic reverse harem that tries to be deep, but only manages to be confusing. Basic eeky heroine who befriends a bunch of bishies who apparently would die to protect her or some such crap. She has some kind of special power, but it’s less of a power and more of a contrived plot device, especially at the beginning. She basically wanders around her high school campus with this expression permanently plastered on her face:
The art is great, though.
And while I’m not a fan of the series, I am a huge fan of the group that translated it. Turtle Paradise is FANTASTIC. They don’t do a dry translation. They actually take the time to transliterate and even do a bit of localization. They translate character dialect into a broader range than any other group I have seen. The dialects work too. They include translation notes too, which is very nice. I actually wish there was an American publisher that had staff with their skill.
