Terranigma Shirt Part 2
It’s supposed to be the Ra tree with Parasite peeking out from it. Either the Ra tree is tinier than usual or Parasite is really godawful large. The seedling pictured is the one that tells Ark about the Ra tree’s predicament, at least in the manga. I can’t remember if appeared in the game. I need to play it again, I guess.
I suck at trees.
Terranigma Shirt
I’m designing one for some reason. I don’t know if I’ll finish it or not, but I’m working on a rather complicated stencil that I will most likely give up on when it comes time to cut it out. Basically, the planned stencil is a composite of six separately drawn images wrapped inside the frame of another with another on sitting on top of it. Plus text. So far I’ve done two of the six images.
Elle and the box. The swirlies are supposed to be magic effects, not tentacles, although I’d understand if some people assumed they were. I didn’t draw legs on Elle because they would have been cut off anyway and positioning legs sticking out from a dress so that it looks decent is a total pain.
By the way, for reference art, I’m cherry-picking features between the original Kamui reference art, the game sprites, and the Tenchi Souzou manga. I’m leaving the localized instruction manuals and magazine illustrations the hell alone because… ugh. You’d understand if you saw them.
My Old Site’s Hosting Ran Out. Yay!
I used to have another web site hosted on BlueHost and it’s gone now. Thank god. I really don’t agree with the anti-profanity clause they have in their terms of service, though I recognize that it’s my fault for not reading through it more carefully. Anyway, to hell with them, it’s Glowhost for me now. My old domain points to this site for the time being, at least until I decide to do something else with it. I might just let it expire next year, not sure yet.
Here’s the old header in case you want to see it.
I kind of liked that one.
Leprechaun.
The manager of my old department ended up leaving the company a while ago. By “a while” I mean about a month. I ended up making a going away gift for him because that’s what I do for people who are nice.
This here is a leprechaun doll keychain and an very aptly titled CD. He was extremely happy to receive them.
Basically the guy’s very, very into being Irish, and way, way too much into playing Hey Soul Sister on repeat. Nice guy, though. We all miss him.
Got Some Copic Sketch Markers
Luff them. Actually, I’d luff anything that lets me do something like this without any practice whatsoever. The colorless blender for Copic Sketch is best one I’ve ever used.
I’ve been wanting to get some for a while because of my obsession with testing out all art supplies ever, despite the fact that I produce very little of value. They’ve always been a sort sour grapes issue for me because they’re really, really expensive compared to other markers and there nearly 350 colors available, making choosing fairly tricky.
Anyway, I was planning on going on a shopping trip the city, just to get out of the pathetic little town in which I live. I ended up getting pretty lucky with timing because Michael’s had a 40% off coupon for an entire purchase of markers. Hot damn. They don’t have much in selection, but I was able to pick up some decent ones, enough to complete the above picture anyway.
So I liked them, ordered a ton more from Blick’s, and am currently working sewing up a bunch of pages of elastic loops so I can hold them all in a binder. Hells yeah.
The only downside is resigning myself to using those Multiliners.
Wayward Son
This is Ark. Some of his favorite activities include: Antagonizing the authority figures in his hometown, traveling with a sarcastic bat, rebuilding worlds, guiding the advancement of civilization, and rescuing the populace of an entire planet from a whole bunch of evil machinations. He also enjoys lollipops, cotton candy, baseball, soccer, and advocating against domestic violence. I swear this is all totally canon.
Play Terranigma if you haven’t already.
Switching back to Sakura pens, as Copics don’t tend to play well with erasers or other markers.
Oh, N.
Chergadis
Rukia
I don’t often draw anime characters in swimwear (as should be obvious by the quality of this one), but when I do, it’s because I offered doing so as a bribe for game recommendations for an archaic system I just bought. I don’t even watch Bleach.
I am not good with standard anime eyes, am I? How is she not falling over?
